Sharmin Jahan Shoshi (Known as Shoshi) is a Bangladeshi Actress. She studied LLB in Stamford University. Her debut movie was “Hazar Bochor Dhore”, based on famous novelist and film maker Johir Raihan’s famous novel “Hazar Bochor Dhore”, directed by Dhallywood’s legendary actress turned director Kohinur Akhtar Shuchonda. The film was highly appreciated by film critics and film viewers and won many awards. Besides film, she also acts in TV dramas (Bangla Natok) and occasionally do modeling.

Sharmin Jahan Shoshi Early Life : Bangladeshi Actress Shoshi was born in Keranipara, Rangpur. She started learning dancing in Shishu Academy, when she was 5 years old. In that time shewas studying in Rangpur Government Girls School and passed her SSC from there. She regularly performed in various cultural events held in Rangpur. Despite of having fame in her hometown, she stopped dancing to concentrate on her studies. Though, the cultural activities always interested her, as she was from a family, which always admired culture. Her father Samsuddoha Babul and mother Hosene Ara Begum was active worker in Drama and Radio arena.

In 2003, when she was a tenth grade student, she participated in Lux Anondodhara Miss Photogenic 2003, in that time, most prestigious beauty pageant in Bangladesh. She was winner from the Rajshahi Division in that contest. Though, she was not serious about that. But after winning the contest, she started to consider a career in the showbiz.
In 2004, Dhallywood’s legendary Actress turned director Kohinur Akhtar Shuchonda came to her house and offered her a role in Johir Raihan’s famous novel based movie “Hazar Bochor Dhore”. That movie was directed by Kohinur Akhtar Shuchonda. Hajar Bachhor Dhore was highly appreciated by film critics and film viewers and won National Film Awards for best film award and in six other categories. The film was also awarded by Meril Prothom Alo Awards with the best film award with three categories including best Actress award won by Shoshi. After that she acted in Khijir Hayat’s “Ostitte Amar Desh”, based on true life event of Bir Sreshto Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman.
