Shimla is one of those few actresses who won the National Film Award for their first film. she started her journey in Bangla film industry by acting in the film named ‘Madam Fuli’ – it was in the year of 1999. After the huge success of her first film, she had not to look backward again. Song writer and music composer Milton Khondokar brought Shimla in the film arena. She is one of his paternal cousins. Milton initially introduced Shimla with film director Shahidul Islam Khokon – afterwards Khokon casted her for consecutive three films. These are – ‘Madam Fuli’, ‘Pagla ghonti’, and ‘Boua’. Among them the third movie ‘Boua’ has not made lastly. Although she had no previous experience or training in acting, she has able to build up her career in the film industry through her intense perseverance and interest.
Shimla’s first foreign movie named ‘Shomadhi’ – a Bangla film of Kolkata where she acted with Mumbai film star Gobindo in 2013. At that time she informed that she got that opportunity to work with Gobindo in courtesy of famous singer of West Bengal Bappy Lahiri. Shimla acted in many television dramas and commercials apart from his participation in films. Her popular dramas are – ‘Tin purush’, ‘Flat no – 40’ etc.
Shimla Bangladeshi Film Actress passed her childhood in Shailokupa of Jhinaidaha district. She passed her SSC from Shailokupa Girls School and got admitted in Shailokupa Government College. But her studies ended at the second year of intermediate because of the involvement in the film. Shimla’s father late Abdul Majed was a businessman and mother is a housewife. Shimla is youngest among 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
